After procrastinating nearly the entire semester, last week I kicked it up a couple noches. Some of the quizzes were a little trickier than I expected. If your girlfriend asks you "does this make me look fat?" the answer should always be no, or maybe avoiding the question all together and giving her a compliment on her personality. The article "Is honesty always the best policy?" explains how to answer different questions, in a way that won't get people hurt. We do have the right to express ourselves in America, but that doesn't mean that you can't soften the blow in certain situations. If it is something simple, like a mistake on a report, you should be honest and try to correct the error. It is much easier to forgive someone for a type-o than it is for a lie.

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/businesstechnology/2002785084_skube05.html

"Heard it through the work grapevine?" is about how to decide if the information you hear is credible or not. TV is relaxing and entertaining but their are some good lessons to be learned by viewing the episodes. Even Southpark shows have a good plot, or "moral of the story." If viewers take everything in, there is so much that television could actually teach. Many of us haven't traveled to other states and experienced first hand what they have to offer. The only things we know about California or New York is what we see on TV. The article "Keep control while waiting" by Margo Frey is about waiting for a response from a business after you have already interviewed for a position. It is important to control your emotions and not get too worked up over it. Finding something productive to do, is the best response to having to wait.

If you ever want to know the proper etiquette for a business diner, or even a date I suggest you check out "Etiquette can make you more palatable" at http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=418026.
